and hilly terrain offer ample opportunity to satisfy the bravest and most
ambitious among you.
Hikers and trekkers will find numerous trails to suit wide-ranging abilities
Take an easy stroll in a majestic setting on the Rotary Trail, which follows
the fast-flowing Vedder River for some seven kilometers. The most popular
hikes include Tea Pot Hill, Elk Mountain, Mount Cheam, and Lindeman, Greendrop,
Pierce, and Radium lakes. More ambitious treks lead to Slesse Meadows and
up into the headwaters of Depot Creek, where glaciers shroud towering peaks.
In winter, the hiking trails around Chilliwack Lake even lend themselves
to cross-country skiing.
Extreme. Experienced mountaineers will
find plenty to challenge their technical skills at a world-class level.
Spanning the 45 kilometers from the Trans-Canada Highway to Chilliwack Lake
is a range of mountains boasting some of North America's roughest, most
spectacular and extreme terrain where jagged peaks soar a dizzying 2,000
meters above dark valley floors. The range's most famous sentinel: Mount
Slesse (Salish for ''fang'). Raked among the top 50 toughest technical ascents
in North America, Slesse sports some of the continent's most demanding summertime
rock climbs up its 900-meter east face.

River has thrills and chills to fire up anyone's adrenaline. Gun Barrel,
Pinball, Darth Vader, Blue water, big boulders and lots of fun. It also
