The surest sign that spring is back is the sight of the first flowers blooming: Snow Drops and Crocuses bring an air of fresh new life breaking out from winter’s weakening grasp. Spring is in full, radiant bloom in Chilliwack, with so many ways to revel in its return! Whether walking along brilliantly coloured rows of tulips or checking out one of our many parks and trails in Chilliwack, your spring will be packed with the freshness of the new season.

Chilliwack Tulips Returns

This beloved annual floral attraction is returning, beginning April 11, 2021! Launched in 2006, Chilliwack Tulips is the first attraction of its kind in the Fraser Valley — and it’s still the largest in BC, with millions of Tulip bulbs blooming each year! They were forced to take a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic but are proudly returning this year for their 15th annual edition, starting this weekend.

As the earliest phase of Chilliwack Tulips the Chilliwack Spring Blooms offers acres upon acres of many varieties of heavenly scented Hyacinths in full bloom, 16 varieties of specialty Double Daffodils with so many lavish petals, and a 4-acre field of budding Tulips. Chilliwack Spring Blooms will take place April 11th to April 15th.

With upwards of six and half million vibrant and showy tulips blooming, this Spring attraction is a must-see, and the perfect way to herald in spring. Including the fields of Hyacinths and Daffodils, the floral fields span a total of 20 impressive acres with an impressive 25 plus varieties of Tulips on display. Chilliwack Tulips will take place from April 16th until at least May 2nd.

In addition to the magnificent blooms, you’ll also find The Farm Store which offers fresh cut and potted Tulips, Dahlia tubers, Sunflower seeds for the garden, souvenirs, frozen treats and bottled refreshments. To capture that perfect memory of your visit, there are numerous photo-op props throughout the grounds, including seven sets of swings, and several raised platforms. Chilliwack Tulips runs every day from April 11 until at least May 2. The fields are located at 41310 Yale Road, just minutes from Highway 1. Parking is free. Admissions will be available for purchase one week in advance.

With all the rugged beauty of our natural surroundings, the buzz and activity of a vibrant city, and the landscape in full bloom, Chilliwack in the spring is a wonderful place to be!
