Look-a-likes of Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons with vocal similarities and soaring vocal harmonies, are the band’s hallmarks and the foundation to which their performance has been built. With over 240 years of collective professional experience in the 6 piece band today, their performances are as close to the real deal as you’ll ever get.
With one of the most “game-changing” song catalogues in rock and roll history from the Tom Johnston era to the Michael McDonald era, “DBX” has evolved into a masterful celebration of The Doobie Brothers. All rock enthusiasts know the words to “China Grove”; “Long Train Runnin’ “; “What A Fool Believes”; “Black Water”; “Takin’ It To The Streets”, or “Minute By Minute” and many, many more.

Join Bri Cheema for a transformative breathwork practice at LAND. LIMINA gatherings are experiential spaces for slowing down, turning inward and exploring what is present beneath the surface.
Through precise breath techniques, energy work and guided inquiry, we work with whatever participants bring into the space- emotions, patterns, relationships, questions and lived experience. There is nothing to achieve or fix. Rather, the practice offers time and space to listen, feel, explore and meet ourselves with greater curiosity and openness. Each gathering is held with care and attention, making room for both individual experience and the shared field of the group.

Andrew Borden and his wife Abby are found dead in Fall River, Massachusetts, August 1892. Their daughter Lizzie is the main suspect. Tried but acquitted of the crime, the story goes that she wielded the axe that killed them. Overnight, she becomes America’s original ‘mad, bad and dangerous to know’ icon. Set to bluegrass music and murder ballads, this irreverently presented, knee-slapping ensemble show fuses gallows humour and vaudevillian horror.

Experience the world premiere of feature documentary “One More Song” (a Tractorgrease Documentary) followed by live music that picks up where the story leaves off.
Following the screening will be a Q & A with filmmakers Jeff Bonner + Chris Fassbender. The second half of the night will be Tractorgrease Revival 2. The core musicians behind Tractorgrease reunite to perform the songs that defined its history — a live show that picks up where the story leaves off.
The Chilliwack Independent Film Festival’s second night is a celebration of local with the world premiere of feature documentary “One More Song” by Chilliwack music legend Jeff Bonner. Following the screening and Q & A, the second half of the night will feature live musical performances by a wide array of world class musicians and bands.
Film Synopsis:
A story about the passion of music and bringing community together for “One More Song.” The project grew out of the sold-out success of The Tractorgrease Revival, filmed in February 2024. The film traces the full arc of Tractorgrease — from its early days as a music collective, recording studio, café, and live venue. Along the way, Tractorgrease became a destination for some of Canada’s finest musicians, many of whom recorded and performed there. Through archival footage, new interviews, and live performances the film documents over 20 years of musical adventures and the struggle to keep it all together.

There are very few artists who manage to create a sound on an acoustic guitar which is distinctive, instantly recognisable. Simon’s complex finger-picking style, which draws from the disparate genres of classical, celtic and blues (amongst others) confirms he is certainly one such artist, his subtle style providing the perfect accompaniment for his rich, powerful and compelling tenor vocals.

5 Week Series, Every Friday in October!
(Re)connect with your body, breath, and a nurturing community during this sacred season of your life. No previous yoga experience necessary.
We gather each week of the series for a 60 minute gentle class that meets you as you are. We will move and breathe to unwind tension, restore balance, nurture self-trust, and gently awaken your strength, while adapting the practice for the ever evolving needs of the bodies and babies in the room. Pre-crawling babies wakeful, sleeping, feeding, in arms or carrier – all welcome here. Mobile babies can be crawling or cruising – we embrace the glorious chaos and do not expect your baby to stay on the mat with you. Moms, come even (especially?) on your hard days… pajamas welcome!

The evening begins with cocktails and Pizza at 6:30 PM, where guests can mingle, snack, and make some memories in the Art of Halloween Photo Booth. At 7:30 PM “The Valley Babes”, take the stage in an all-new comedic cabaret featuring a cheeky Bard who can’t decide which monster he’s brought to life for the night deserves to be the star of his new show. Throughout the program six classic movie monsters take the stage to convince the audience (through song and dance, of course) that they’re the monster that deserves to survive the night and be immortalized for all time!
At intermission, guests can indulge in delicious desserts before gearing up for the costume contest! This year, there will be prizes for “Best in Show”, “Best Funny Costume”, “Best Scary Costume”, and “Best Couples or Group Costume”! After the costume contest winner is crowned, the spooky soiree concludes with DJ’d dance party that keeps the Halloween spirit alive — all wrapping up by around 10:00 PM, just in time to leave you thrilled, not tired.
Whether you’re there for the music, the costumes, or some inclusive community fun, The Art of Halloween fits the bill! We can’t wait to see you there!
