The Good Neighbours Lhewá:mel Project
In collaboration with Ts’elxwéyeqw Tribe, Tourism Ch’illiwack, City of Chilliwack, and Stó:lō Research and Resource Management, the Good Neighbours Lhewá:mel Project introduces a series of meaningful, culturally-rooted public spaces that foster reconciliation, connection, and community across Chilliwack.
Rooted in the Sí:yá:ya Yóyes (Friends Working Together) Plan, this initiative fosters meaningful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities through thoughtfully designed gathering spaces, storytelling elements, and immersive experiences.
This is a tangible step toward building relationships and creating a welcoming environment where all can connect with the land.
