Have you ever sat in a field of lavender and just listened to the gentle hum of the bees while you inhale the most tranquil smells? We have, and we feel you need to too! Our friends at Windward Farms have the most breath-taking setting for practicing yoga; outdoors, in the middle of a rolling field, lined with rows of lavender, surrounded by mountains in the beautiful Columbia Valley.

We will start the evening with a gentle practice followed by a refreshing lavender-sour beer, made by Moody Ales using the lavender from the Windward Farms property. There will also be tasty vegan treats of course.

Please note: if you have a bee allergy, this may not the place for you, but if you are a fellow lavender lover and feel like rolling the dice, make sure you being your epi pen 🙂 While we’ve never been stung by a bee in a lavender field, bees love lavender so there are a lot of them hanging around.

5th Annual Barn Burner BBQ – Proudly presented by Johnston’s Pork & Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry.

Join the festivities on Sunday, July 21, 10am to 4pm at the Farm Store in Yarrow. This annual BBQ competition has become Chilliwack’s tastiest community event, promoting tourism in the Fraser Valley while spreading the love, passion and joy for “Southern Style” BBQ.

Fall off the bone BBQ samples await, prepared by fiercely competitive Pit Masters from across Canada and the Pacific North West. Beef Brisket, Pork, Chicken and Ribs; all slow cooked to perfection! The event features food trucks, sponsor exhibits, live music, a kids’ zone, a climbing wall and more.
Entry to the event is by donation with ALL proceeds going to Envision Financial’s The Full Cupboard, a community program designed to raise food, funds, and awareness for food banks in local communities.
